“Relocators” and long-term “tourists” who escaped from partial mobilization to Kazakhstan will have problems from the end of January. The country has tightened the rules for Russians and other foreigners from the EAEU, reducing the permitted period of stay in the country.
The new order, which was announced by the government of Kazakhstan, will come into force on January 27. According to it, all citizens of the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), including Russians, will be able to stay in Kazakhstan for no more than 90 days within a 180-day period.
At the same time, the possibility of visaran is canceled – that is, it will not be possible to enter and leave the country again, “resetting the counter”, as long-term tourists who are coming to the end of their stay do in many countries, from Thailand to Serbia, including Kazakhstan. The period of stay of a foreigner will now be strictly limited to 90 calendar days for each period of 180 calendar days, and if this period is exceeded, the foreigner will be denied entry upon return. The only exception will be those with a temporary residence permit.
The change in migration rules was planned more than a year ago. According to experts, it was adopted in order to control the entry of immigrants into the country, as well as to combat illegal migration.
At the moment, as stated by and. about. Chairman of the Migration Service Committee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic Aslan Atalykov, about 150 thousand Russians remained in Kazakhstan, who arrived in Kazakhstan since the end of September. At the same time, only 36 thousand people have temporary residence permits.
