bypassed the countries of the European Union. A Russian woman living in the Czech Republic compared prices in a store with a weekly difference and was dumbfounded. She outlined her observations in a blog on Yandex.Zen.

“In principle, I am not surprised at the very idea that prices are rising. But by so much?”, – said the blogger. According to her, the price of tomatoes was especially surprising – a week ago, “on a promotion”, they were sold for 39.90 crowns (135 rubles) per kilogram, and here almost 100 crowns (340 rubles) per kilo. “Wow, the price has doubled,” the blogger noted, adding that on delivery sites the price is from 80 and more kroons per kilogram (270 rubles). Similarly, according to her, cucumbers were half the price – a piece will now cost 22.90 kroons (78 rubles). “But the price of cucumbers did not jump so quickly. Somehow it gradually grew. It seems that last week I bought a cucumber for 18.90 kroons (64 rubles). And in the photo from last year, there were cucumbers for 9.90 apiece (34 rubles),” the blogger added.

Another position in the Czech Republic that shocks people is eggs. “Their prices have also risen significantly. Also 2 times. Now you won’t find eggs cheaper than 6-7 crowns (20-24 rubles) apiece,” the blogger writes. Flour and dairy products have also risen in price.

“And in grocery stores, new price tags are pasted on top of old prices. I recently bought sponges for washing dishes, last year a pack of 8 cost about 15 crowns (51 rubles), and this year I paid all 30 (102 rubles),” added a blogger living in the Czech Republic.
