The Turkish division of ANEX Group plans to enter new European markets. Among them are the Baltic and Scandinavian countries, as well as the UK. This was stated by the head of the company Vural Karasu during the conference “The situation in the markets of tourism resources” in Antalya.
The expert noted that Anex's first entry into the European market was successful – Germany became it in 2022. In this market, the tour operator is “advancing with its goals”. In particular, the new airline MGA flies there with Boeing 777s for 546 seats. The tour operator plans to expand the “German” market also to Austria, in addition, Poland falls into its “orbit”.
“Also, ANEX Tour will soon enter the markets of the Baltic countries and Scandinavia, as well as the UK. ANEX Tour will be positioned as B2B and Neckermann Travel will be positioned as B2C in these markets. As a result, together with our existing portfolio, we will operate in 17 countries,” said Mr. Karasu.
At the same time, he called on hoteliers to “continue supporting” the tour operator. And he added literally the following: “Do not be afraid to raise the price. The main thing is to give the right price.”
“Spending has gone up a lot this year. But there was also demand. We don't make money on the cheapness of the hotel and we don't lose money on the high prices,” he added.
