These jewelry for the specified amount, according to the statement of the Sheremetyevo customs, were found in the luggage of the Russian woman. Specifically, the smuggling consisted of eight gold rings with diamond inserts and a chain worth 1.7 million rubles. The examination showed that these are handmade products made of gold 585 and 750.
At the same time, a tourist who arrived from Turkey tried to carry jewelry through the “green” corridor without customs declaration. As a result, she admitted that she planned to sell the goods in her own accessories store.
“The actions of a citizen of the Russian Federation are seen as signs of a crime, responsibility for which is provided for by Part 1 of Art. 226.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (smuggling of strategically important goods and resources).
