In another country, prices for Russian tourists have collapsed: hotels in Sri Lanka offer discounts of up to 30-40 for the summer %. And although summer is considered off-season, especially for the west coast, where the monsoon and rainy season comes, experts note that connoisseurs of the destination use summer discounts with might and main. The main “life hacks”, as tour operators for ATOR noted, are, firstly, to choose a vacation spot in the northeast of the island; and secondly, to know that the main rains usually fall in May-June, in the rest of the summer months there is less precipitation.
At the same time, in order to attract foreign tourists, most hotels in Sri Lanka reduce prices from May to the end of October – this information was announced in the Russian Express. Experts from Intourist and PAC Group add to this that in summer the contract prices of hotels are initially lower than in winter, plus additional special offers begin to operate – for example, tourists stay 12 nights and pay only for 9 nights.
“First of all, in the summer, hoteliers on the west coast revise prices: the discount is up to 30-40%,” experts add. According to Russian Express, as a rule, special offers come from 4* and 5* hotels: compared to the winter season, prices are reduced by 15%-20%, and for some hotels even up to 30%. Budget hotels offer special offers less often.
