The next sights of Ancient Egypt will soon become a new point of attraction for tourists. An Egyptian archaeological mission working at a temple in the Nile Delta in the province of Menufia discovered several mummies with golden tongues. As far as one can tell, this is something new for Egypt. This was reported by the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities of Egypt.
According to scientists, the mummies were found in tombs belonging to different eras, including the late period of Ancient Egypt and the Greco-Roman civilization. At the moment, the finds will be restored, as the mummies were in a poor state of preservation, because once the tombs were looted. However, the finds will soon be presented to tourists.
Recall that recently Egypt and the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in Fustat organized a celebration of the 100th anniversary of the discovery of perhaps the loudest Egyptian attraction – the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. The grand opening turned exactly one hundred years old, the holiday brought together both researchers and tourists.
Also, the festival announced a “big surprise for the world public” – the opera “Tutankhamun”. A grand event will be held on March 3 and 4 right in the open air in front of the temple of Queen Hatshepsut (in another pronunciation – Hatchepsut) in Luxor on the west bank of the Nile, considered the side of the dead.
