In modern conditions, the requirement of safety is becoming one of the main for tourists – this is how Forbes Advisor opened its rating of the safest countries for travelers. The rating assessed the level of health care, the state of water and beaches, as well as the number of crimes – from theft to murder, to identify the safest countries.

The leaders of the rating look like this – it's interesting that not everyone is beach-goers:

The leaders of the rating explained the following. Switzerland is primarily known for its stunning natural scenery. It also has the best quality of health care of any country surveyed and decent water purity – sixth in terms of bathing water quality. The truth is exclusively lake. The most popular destinations for tourists are Geneva and Zurich, as well as the country's lakes.

Slovenia was ranked as the second safest destination for tourists this summer. The country has one of the lowest homicide rates in the world, at only 4.8 per million inhabitants. And also more than 85% of the water on the beaches received an excellent rating – by the way, the country overlooks the Adriatic Sea, although it is a very small stretch of coastline, which nevertheless has several resorts. Tourists were also advised to visit the capital, Ljubljana, and nearby Lake Bled, which is ideal for swimming.

Third place went to Portugal, a beach country where almost 95% of bathing water is rated as excellent. The country also has a high quality of healthcare and is in the top 10 of all countries surveyed. Tourists are advised to the beaches of the Algarve, and for urban recreation – Lisbon and Porto.
