Istanbul airport met a Russian tourist with an original exhibition of paintings. True, when a compatriot found out what materials became the basis for creating portrait masterpieces, she remained shocked. She spoke about this in her Yandex.Zen channel.
It was specified that the exhibition called “Zero Point”, presented by ten paintings in the waiting rooms, is the work of the Turkish artist Deniz Sagdych. The main materials for creating masterpieces are garbage and waste collected at Istanbul Airport: cardboard bags and tags, pieces of clothing, wires, bottles, soda cans and caps, balloons, microchips, buttons, garbage bags, rubber gloves, napkins, old uniforms employees, etc.
“Surely each of you has left something at the airport at least once, be it a hat, scarf, gloves or phone chargers. Many people, in order to avoid overweight of the suitcase, literally throw out unnecessary things from it, which may include not only clothes, but also various packages, bottles and other items, without thinking about their fate and about what harm such actions can cause nature,” said a traveler who visited the exhibition. The main goal of the event is to show the importance of sustainability and environmental friendliness in the world.
