The Indonesian authorities announced the completion of the “test” check of the electronic visa system and its launch for “general use”. Namely, in Indonesia there is such a super-popular winter beach holiday island as Bali. The official website of the Directorate General of Immigration states that as early as Wednesday, November 9, tourists, including Russian ones, will be able to use the system for obtaining electronic visas on arrival (e-VOA).
The system will be available for tourists from 26 countries, including for tourists from Russia. She must work at Bali Airport, as well as in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia.
The details are as follows:
- In order to apply, tourists must upload the first page of their passport on the official website with a validity of at least six months from the date of entry into Indonesia and a photo.
- To obtain an e-VoA, tourists must pay 500,000 Indonesian rupiah (slightly less than 2 thousand rubles). At the same time, problems may arise for Russian tourists, since the “transaction path” called by the official website is a credit or debit card of the “sanctioned” Visa or Master Card.
- Vacationers will be able to use the right to enter no later than 90 days after the visa is issued.
- To pass through passport control at the airport, tourists are advised to have an electronic copy or a printed version of the e-VOA with them, which they will receive on the e-mail specified when filling out the application.
