A foreign tourist who visited Turkey as part of medical tourism was horrified by the consequences of plastic surgery on the chest: upon returning home, the woman's implants fell out. The victim publicized the story of the unsuccessful operation and urged not to repeat her mistakes.
48-year-old Briton Kelly Young went to Turkey to “just lift her breasts and make them firmer.” She also went on tour with a friend who needed to “get her teeth,” The Sun reported. As the traveler later stated, she should have made inquiries about the clinic before trusting her.
It was clarified that 24 years ago, the woman underwent surgery in the UK to increase her breast size to level D. But when the right implant ruptured in 2018, she decided to replace it and tighten her breasts. She spent a total of £6,200 in September, i.e. 511 thousand rubles for the initial operation, flight and accommodation for the second procedure in Turkey. “I have been waiting years to do this. I didn't want to be without implants and thought I'd get a facelift. Turkey was the cheapest destination for my destination. When I returned, my daughter came to change my bandage and said that the stitches came apart. Then she cried. My doctor told me that there was an infection there and gave me antibiotics. I went to the nurses every day for dressings. From the hole formed, the discharge began, over time they became stronger, and the hole got bigger, ”said the Briton.
According to her, doctors had to stuff cotton wool into the hole every day so that it would not grow. But in the end, it still became too big, and the women went to the hospital. “It was a huge hole. I didn't want to look at it and I didn't want to know what was going on there. I decided to return (to Turkey). I had to get on a plane with a protruding implant, I was scared. The next day after the operation, a large amount of blood began to flow from it. The surgeon said that this is normal and will be like this for a few more days, so I flew home, but the wound opened in another area, ”she added.
A breast surgeon in the UK told a patient that she was losing her second implant due to a “massive infection”. In this case, it is required to wait six months before inserting a new one. “The hole got bigger every day, so I returned to Turkey. They said there was nothing they could do, they would take the implant out and I didn't need any more treatment, no braces or anything. He (the doctor) said that I have very small breasts and a little saggy skin, that's all. I flew home because I was depressed there,” Young said.
After the implants were removed, the British woman's confidence in a positive outcome was shaken, and now she is looking for another surgeon who can correct the consequences. “I am unhappy with my appearance. I take antidepressants, when I was there (at the clinic), I wanted to jump off a cliff. I have three scars and a flat chest. I feel like a different person. I have to make breasts, I can’t wear a bikini – summer will be a nightmare, ”the Briton was indignant. In addition, she said that she did not assume that she had complications and “then after seven weeks they simply told me that I could no longer do any operations.”
The payment method also added problems to the woman. As it turned out, she paid in cash. However, she did not say whether she was given any contract or a receipt confirming the fact of the service provided: “People need to study all possible complications in advance and make sure that they do not pay in cash, because if you pay by card, you are more right.”
