That's it: the velvet season in the resorts of the Russian south is officially coming to an end. This was stated by TASS scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia Roman Vilfand. The beach holiday season has ended for Crimea and will end in the Krasnodar Territory in the coming days.
“In Crimea, the water temperature dropped to 19-20 degrees Celsius. In the Krasnodar Territory, by the beginning of next week, the maximum temperature will be 17-20 degrees. The velvet season for Crimea has already ended,” the weather forecaster said.
In recent days, he recommended tourists who still want to snatch the seas and beaches on their native shores to settle on the beaches in Sochi, Gelendzhik and Anapa. “Here the water temperature so far is 22 degrees. But the temperature will drop. The season is coming to an end,” said Mr. Vilfand.
