The hotel, accessible to Russian tourists, opens the list of the 100 best hotels in the world in 2023 according to Travel + Leisure magazine: the rating was topped by the Istanbul Peninsula Hotel, located in the most accessible Istanbul in terms of flights. However, other resorts in the countries accessible to our tourists were also in the top ten – from the usual Thailand to an exotic luxury safari hotel in Zambia.

- The Peninsula Istanbul Hotel, Istanbul, Turkey is a 177-room hotel, a complex of four buildings located in the center of the Turkish “cultural capital” on the banks of the Bosphorus. Turkish designer Zeynep Fadillioglu participated in the creation of the hotel. Tourists are offered rooms with balconies and private terraces overlooking the water, as well as suites with direct access to the lush manicured garden or pool. Price per room – from $ 959.
- Hôtel Dame des Arts, Paris, France – Located just steps from the Louvre, this hotel offers “an unobstructed view of the Eiffel Tower.” Gertrude Stein, Ernest Hemingway and the Fitzgeralds “lived, wrote and drank” here. Tourists will be offered about 17 rooms with a balcony overlooking the Eiffel Tower. Prices Starting at $386
- The Ritz-Carlton New York, New York, USA – Here tourists are invited to “wake up with a view of the Hudson River from their hotel bed. Housed in a “glittering 50-story tower on the corner of 28th Street and Broadway,” the hotel opened in July 2022 after nearly four years of construction. Price – from $ 1,073
- The Standard, Bangkok, Thailand – another hotel available to our tourists, located “in one of the most famous skyscrapers in the city.” The 155-room hotel has five bars and restaurants, including the neo-Mexican rooftop restaurant Ojo, where “locals often outnumber hotel guests, and in a food-obsessed city like Bangkok, that's always a good sign.” Room price from $ 237
- InterContinental Khao Yai, another Thai hotel, this time in a resort bordering Thailand's UNESCO World Heritage Site Khao Yai. The entry-level rooms are modeled after old Orient Express-style carriages, while other rooms have been converted from vintage railroad cars. “With unique items carefully sourced from across Asia, these suites are playful, unforgettable and surprisingly romantic,” the publication says. - Gleneagles Townhouse, Edinburgh, Scotland is a hotel with only 33 rooms, with an exclusive view – only for hotel guests – of St. Andrew's Square from the local rooftop lounge bar. Price from $674.
- Lolebezi, Zambia – Tucked away in a remote concession in the Lower Zambezi National Park, the luxury safari cottage will offer tourists eight luxury cottages and a “cutting edge approach to safari”: each individual accommodation is clad in glass with views of the Zambezi River, the cottages also feature plunge pools and marble bathrooms. “Wildlife here is literally at your doorstep: elephants and monkeys roam freely, and hippos grunt along the river,” the rating compilers assure. Price from $1490.
- Under Canvas Bryce Canyon, Utah, USA – another exotic, “luxury glamping” with platform tents on 700 acres of land. The cost of a luxury tent is from $314.
- Four Seasons Tamarindo, Costalegre, Mexico. The 157-room resort is the first hotel to open on this protected stretch of coastline in recent years. The Cliffside Suites are highly recommended to travelers “to enjoy stunning views and private infinity pools.” Starting at $1250.
- Fasano Trancoso, Brazil. The hotel is “in an idyllic location along a pristine sandy beach” and features 40 luxurious modern bungalows, as well as an Olympic-length swimming pool, a spa offering relaxing massages, and two restaurants serving classic Italian cuisine as well as Bahian specialties. Price from $850.
