The Minister promised to open visa-free tourism for Russians to another country

Russian Minister of Economic Development Maxim Reshetnikov promised to open visa-free tourism for Russians to another country in the very near future. According to TASS, we are talking about an agreement on visa-free “deliveries” of tourist groups, similar to the Chinese one, between Russia and Iran. In fact, it is already at a low start, moreover, the minister announced the readiness of the list of tour operators who plan to form such groups among Russians.

“This year we plan to move to the implementation of an agreement on visa-free group tourist trips. The list of tour operators who plan to form such groups among Russians has already been agreed upon,” the minister said. According to him, more than 60 subjects showed interest in this work, they collected a list of 260 companies.

According to him, we are talking about traveling groups of 5 to 50 people for up to 15 days. The list from tour operators has already been handed over to “colleagues from Iran” and a similar one is expected in return.

Recall that the last time this issue was discussed was during the undisbanded “former” Rostourism: in September 2022, Zarina Doguzova, who served as its head, reported that the agency had begun collecting applications from Russian tour operators as part of a visa-free agreement with Iran. At the same time, it was explained that the visa-free agreement developed by Rostourism by analogy with the Chinese would allow Russian tour operators to receive in Russia and send to Iran tourist groups from five to 50 people without the need for a visa.

Recall that the other day on the website of the Ministry of Economy and Finance of Mozambique, Russia was included in the list of countries whose citizens are exempted from the need to obtain tourist and business visas to enter the country.

“The measure will apply to visitors with ordinary passports and will allow them to stay in the country 30 days, renewable for another 60 days. Travelers must register on the e-Visa platform at least 48 hours prior to travel and pay a processing fee. On the Russian tourist map, this direction is still “terra incognita” – however, suffice it to say that the neighboring country is Tanzania, whose resort resources, more precisely the island of Zanzibar, easily “advanceed” among Russians, thanks to the coronavirus.
