Tours to Turkey have grown in price by about 50% compared to last year – such an assessment was voiced by market experts, both tour operators and tour distributors. The reason is primarily the reduction in transportation and the lengthening of the route, which led to an increase in airfare, as well as the rush demand for holidays in Turkey. The overall rise in prices also played a role, Izvestia reports.
According to the data presented in Level.Travel, Turkish resorts this summer have risen in price by an average of 50% compared to last year. The average price of a weekly tour has increased from 115 thousand to 172 thousand rubles. Tour operators generally confirm the situation.
So, according to Tez Tour, prices rose by an average of 40% compared to last season – and demand, despite this, significantly exceeds supply. Tours with accommodation in Kemer are most in demand – about 29% of the total number of applications for destinations and Alanya 28%, Belek is in slightly less demand – about 25%.
At the same time, hotel occupancy is very high, and tourists do not save money – Fun & Sun (former TUI). Tourists choose expensive hotels near the Turkish resort of Kemer, where occupancy is close to 100%. Similarly – in the province of Mugla. Many 5* hotels demanded by Russian tourists have stopped sales for some dates until the end of the season.
Turkey is the only mass outbound destination, the demand for it can be considered booming, Intourist experts added. At the moment, all tickets are sold out until July 5 inclusive. That is, no last-minute tours this summer, obviously, are expected.
